Curious what ADHD Coaching could mean for you?
-
An ADHD Coach is a professional who specializes in helping individuals with ADHD manage their symptoms, set goals, develop strategies, and improve their overall quality of life. They provide personalized support and guidance to help you stay organized, focused, and motivated.
-
ADHD Coaching can benefit children, teenagers, and adults with ADHD, and loved ones of those with ADHD. It can also help those who struggle with ADHD-like symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, even without a formal diagnosis.
-
During a coaching session, you can expect a collaborative conversation focused on identifying your goals, challenges, and strengths. I help you develop actionable plans, provide accountability, and teach you practical strategies to manage ADHD symptoms.
-
Coaching sessions can be conducted in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing. This flexibility allows you to choose the format that best fits your schedule and comfort level.
-
The frequency of sessions varies depending on your individual needs and preferences. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others may prefer bi-weekly or monthly meetings. We will work with you to determine the best schedule.
-
ADHD Coaching focuses on practical strategies, goal-setting, and behavioural changes, whereas therapy often addresses emotional and psychological issues. Coaching is action-oriented and future-focused, while therapy may explore past experiences and emotional healing.
-
The duration of coaching varies for each individual. Some clients may achieve their goals within a few months, while others may choose to work with a coach for a longer period to maintain progress and continue developing new skills.
We recommend clients to start with 3 months and adjust duration from there. This allows enough time for new habits to form and become routine.
-
Look for an ADHD Coach who has specialized training and certification in ADHD Coaching, as well as experience working with clients who have ADHD. Membership in professional organizations, such as the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and the ADHD Coaches Organization (ACO) can also indicate a coach's commitment to their practice.
Leanne is registered and certified with both the ICF and her ADHD Coaching Certification was granted by JST Coaching.
